SEMO Regional K9 Search Team
Contact Us

The SEMO Regional K9 Search Team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for searches for any missing person in the southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, western Kentucky, western Tennessee and northern Arkansas area. If someone is missing, you are encouraged to alert search dog teams early in the event to allow for travel and preparation time. The sooner the team can get on scene before it is too contaminated, the better the likelihood that the missing person may be found.

Items needed for a successful search

1.  An uncontaminated scent article that the missing person has worn or had in their possession within the last 24 hours.

2.  Set up command posts away from the scent source, and the last place the missing person was seen.

3.  Keep witnesses with information about the missing person's state of mind and intentions at the scene until the dog/handler team has an opportunity to talk with them.
